What inspired this piece? A colourful bouquet of market-bought flowers that sat on our living room windowsill. From there my imagination took over, bursting with her own floral design. A blooming of colourful flowers, drawn in marker and highlighted with coloured pencil. Get lost in the flowers with me; take a breath and practice mindfulness as you take in each petal.

Anxiety is a series that started as a way for me to disconnect from my anxiety and reconnect with my creativity. My inspiration for these pieces was always found nearby, more precisely from the comfort of ‘my spot on the couch’ — I started by drawing something within view and what followed was a surprise, even to me. Each piece is an act of letting go, letting my mind be free and seeing where my hand and my unconscious mind lead me. This print is from the Anxiety collection.
