What inspired this piece? A little ant that I spotted in our home. The child in me was in charge of making this illustration. Bugs! Bugs! And more bugs! Silly & happy, not a serious bug in sight. Beetles, butterflies, ants and moths, spiders and snails and slugs. You name it, we’ve got it! I hope you have a blast searching for all the hidden critters and plants in this playful and light-hearted design. This happy, silly bug illustration was drawn with coloured pencil, marker and a whole lot of joy.

Anxiety is a series that started as a way for me to disconnect from my anxiety and reconnect with my creativity. My inspiration for these pieces was always found nearby, more precisely from the comfort of ‘my spot on the couch’ — I started by drawing something within view and what followed was a surprise, even to me. Each piece is an act of letting go, letting my mind be free and seeing where my hand and my unconscious mind lead me. This print is from the Anxiety collection.
